We are a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation dedicated to serving St. Mary Parish residents who are undergoing screening and treatment for breast cancer. Since 2008, Morgan City High School Lady Tiger Volleyball team has collaborated with Berwick High School, Vandebilt Catholic High School, Central Catholic High School, and E.D. White to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. The initial 2008 Paint the Pit "Pink" volleyball match started an annual tradition where local schools joined forces with MCHS to raise funds and awareness. These Pink volleyball matches have raised funds through Pink t-shirt sales, raffles, donations, and sponsorships. Initially, the funds were donated to established organizations like Susan G. Komen and Miles Perret Foundation; however, all funds were not guaranteed to remain in St. Mary Parish to assist local residents. In an effort to raise funds and keep funds local, Roots & Ribbons was created.
